Become a highly skilled and successful cosmetology instructor with B & J Methods of Teaching. Our program, led by a master educator with 20 years of experience, equips you with the knowledge and confidence needed to ace the SC Stateboard examination and excel in your career. Our 45-hour methods of teaching course will create a robust foundation that encompasses a diverse range of teaching methods, for instance, curriculum development, classroom management, instructional and assessment strategies. Our curriculum focusses on the three-domain topic that are required by the SC Stateboard examination to ensure your knowledge and confidence in and outside of the classroom. As you learn the basic tools, you will also engage in computer technology using Microsoft Word or Google Docs software; this practical application is a support mechanism that will be utilized to engage and create a professional lesson plan. It will enhance teaching skills and inspire our future cosmetology instructors to think creatively. Dedicated to creating exceptional learning environments through innovative approaches and individualized support for each student. My personal journey to obtaining an instructor license in South Carolina was particularly challenging, marked by an unsuccessful experience with the required 45-hour Methods of Teaching course, forcing self-study for the examination. This firsthand experience ignited a strong desire to empower future instructors, ensuring they leave their programs with both comprehensive knowledge and a high level of confidence. All candidates must hold a current cosmetology, esthetics, or nail technician license for a minimum of two years prior to attending the 45-hour Methods of Teaching Course approved by the South Carolina Board of Cosmetology.

No, B&J offers flexible payment options. Paying the full amount upfront is recommended, but you can also choose to pay in installments. A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is required to secure a spot, and this amount is included in the total course price.
Individual Course Option:
2 Weekend Course:
First installment: $775.00, Second Installment: $775.00. Each installment is due before the corresponding weekend class.
3 Weekend Course:
First installment: $550.00, Second Installment: $500.00, Third Installment: $500.00. Each installment is due before the corresponding weekend class.
Group Course Options:
According to the South Carolina State Board of Cosmetology, all classes for cosmetology programs are required to be face-to-face, with no virtual sessions available.
